Letter of Recommendation

From Isaiah D. Johnson
Principal, Cascade Middle School, Auburn School District.

"....It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Momentum, A group of young people who inspire through dance, speaking, and music.

As principal, it is often difficult to find assemblies that are inspiring and motivating for students; especially middle school students. On January, 14th 2010, Momentum came to our school to perform at out Martin Luther King. Jr. Assembly. Our students and staff did not know what to expect. As soon as Momentum was introduced, they captivated the attention of students and staff. The music had a powerful and positive message and held the attention of our students, as well as our staff.

The three inspiration stories were spoken with eloquence. Their message of hope, even in the midst of adversity, struggles, and obstacles was a very important one for our students to hear. The dance routines were done very professionally and conveyed the message of the touching testimonials presented by the students. It was an uplifting experience for our students and staff and a perfect choice for our Martin Luther King, Jr. Assembly!

In Conclusion, the Momentum assembly was the most relevant assembly I have witnessed as an administrator. The music, the message, and dance were totally engaging and inspiring to our students. I recommend this assembly to all schools as it gives students the message of how to overcome obstacles and find success...."

The newest program sponsored by PPSI is Sound Advice which features students between the ages of 15 and 22. Sound Advice differs from Momentum in that drama is used as the primary means to convey the message of the program. This program emphasizes similar themes as Momentum.
